Who you are dealing with
Two people, and you get both of them.
Fabricaite is Sam Carr and Richard Carr, based in Leeds. Sam builds the tools. Richard runs the commercial side. There is no third person, no account manager, and nobody you will be handed off to once the work starts.
We are new, and we would rather say so
Fabricaite has not been going long. There is no wall of client logos on this site because there is not one yet, and borrowing other people's names to look bigger is not a habit worth starting.
What we can do is tell you what we have actually built, which is below. And being new gets you something a bigger firm cannot offer: your job is not sitting behind forty others, and the person who writes the code is the person who answers the phone.
Sam
Sam builds everything.
He built an AI workout tracker because he wanted one, and he and his friends still use it. It makes nobody any money. That is close to the point: a small tool built for a handful of specific people who needed it, rather than software bought off a shelf and bent into shape afterwards.
He has also built and deployed a website for a customer, connected Xero to a working system, and is currently building a full CRM and sales system for Volta Compliance.
Richard
Richard runs the commercial side.
He is the founder and director of Volta Compliance and Duravault. He is the one who will tell you honestly when something is not worth doing, which on a project like this is worth more than another pair of hands.
Our own first customer
Volta Compliance is Richard's business, and Duravault is a group company too. So the first systems we built were our own, which means we find out where a tool is annoying to live with before a client does.
We were paid for that work. It is still group work rather than arm's-length, and we would rather tell you that than have you find it.
Where we are
We are based in Leeds and can come out and see you, which is how we would rather start. Close enough for that to be a real offer rather than a line on a website.
There are two of us, so we only take on what we can finish properly. That is not modesty, it is arithmetic, and it is the whole reason we are careful about what we say yes to.
Next step
Twenty minutes, and no pitch.
Tell us what is taking the time. If we cannot help, or it is not worth building, we will say so on the call rather than three weeks into a quote.
